Welcome to our 5th “on air” monthly club “BARC: W5BCS” meeting!
- Current meeting place, Red Cross, is unavailable to us, due to the pandemic, until further notice and our monthly meetings will be on the air until we can lock down a meeting place.

Today is the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Pacific (VP) day.

International Lighthouse Lightship Weekend - ILLW Normally held on the 3rd full weekend in August This year: 00.01 UTC 22nd August to 2400 UTC 23rd August 2020 (48 hours)

Officers working together to identify opportunities for club activities and advancement.
- City of Bryan MidTown Park Project
- Consulting with former Parks staff, recommend that we go before the Park Board.
- Also writing a letter to the Parks Director/Project Manager
- Serious commitment on the part of BARC of Time and Money.
- Requesting roll call poll of members checked-in to today’s meeting indicating wiliness to support this initiative through volunteer effort and financial backing.
- City of Bryan MidTown Park Project
Trent Owens (AG1TX): Roll Call Vote was taken of the above attendees (Excluding: KA5TWB as he was not present at the time of voting) The vote was unanimous (20 yes / 0 no) in support of the MidTown Park initiative.

Respondents to our club activity poll set construction projects as a top priority. These projects are beginning to emerge but, we still have to overcome the logistical challenges of COVID-19.

The local D-Star repeater stack is need of service and a permanent custodianship.
- In the interest of stabilizing services and adding to BARC infrastructure, we will be seeking to change the call sign on the repeater to a BARC club call (other than W5BCS).
- Stay tuned for more information on that

An active club deserves a recognizable brand and logo.
- There was a logo in the ’90s that fell out of use.
- If you are interested in working on this or, have ideas, please let me know.

- Join or renew ARRL through the club as we get a kickback. Not much but every little bit helps!

VE Test Session
Gerald Golub (W5VUI)
- Next test session is TBD. We don’t have a location for our club meetings or test sessions yet but will need to find a location and abide by .gov guidelines. If you would like to test, please email me and I’ll put you on a list.
September Meeting
- As of now, the meeting will be on September 19, 2020 at 9:30am and unless our current situation changes, will be held “On Air” in a NET style meeting on the 146.680 repeater. Please check the website and/or our Tuesday evening NETs @ 8 PM local time for the most current information regarding our meetings.
