Bill Rose (K5WTR)

• I have 400 W, 17.5 V, 400 A-hr storage from solar power
  • Charges through most of the day
  • Even sometimes a little voltage at night during a bright full moon
  • Runs all of my radios (all the time)
• Reasons:
  1. Supposed to be prepared for emergency comms
  2. Don’t like it when the lights go out :-)
  3. Also powers all-electric home

Don Ling (WB5CKO)

• Similar setup as K5WTR
  • 3x 100 A-hr batteries
  • 13.6 V at night just from security light
• Meteor shower peaking soon
  • Should be visible if there are no clouds
  • N5ZKF: probably the Leonids? (peak will be around next full moon)
