ARES updates:
- last night we had our monthly meeting at the American Red Cross
- 13 attendees, including 3 from W5AC!
- put up a new end-fed HF antenna, and all of the radio equipment tested well!
CEOC visit this Friday
- Meet on sidewalk before 09:00
- If you arrive late, call the radio room at (979) 821-1012 or on the KD5DLW repeater

School is back in session
- classes started yesterday
- students already back in town
W5AC is active once again
- Fox hunt already in progress: 146.565 MHz
- Meetings are already scheduled for the semseter

Someone mentioned something at the ARES meeting about the GMRS repeaters being unlinked?
N5ZKF: the FCC defines GMRS as an unlinked service, but this usually refers to telephone linking, not Internet
- Maybe some misinterpretation?
K5DKB: all of the Texas GMRS repeaters have been unlinked lately in accordance with new interpretation, but are petitioning to re-allow it
