• Reminder about general preparations for cold weather:
  • Insulate pipes or leave them on a slow drip to prevent freezing
  • Bring outdoor pets and plants inside
  • Make sure you have a generator and/or a source of warmth in case the power goes out
  • Have fresh water on hand in case pipe freezes or bursts
  • Have a stash of non-perishable food in the pantry in case you can’t get out or deliveries can’t get in for a while

• For KI5ZPG: maybe power supply and/or RF interference from somewhere
• KG5LYE: sounds like the signal is fine for a split second then “warms up” to produce a tone
  • Occasional “gaps” between the tone allow for voice/signal to be heard
  • If I had to guess, the oscillators or modulation circuitry in the radio may be going bad
