• Meeting Saturday was a lot of fun doing zoom and our on the air club meeting.

• VE Testing. ARRL has been experimenting with online testing. A few clubs have been testing using different adapted methods. the officers have been looking at several ways to legally do testing.

• Member database in in the process of being updated.

• ARRL has several event stations coming soon. Check their website HERE for a complete list.

  • Florida QSO Party 4/25-4/26: A very relaxed contest atmosphere.

• As of now, Field Day is still on. No raffle sales or the regular meal. If we are able to meet safely, we will meet and have a casual field day. We will look later in the year for an event where we will have a meal and the raffle.

• Still collect door prize items and we’ll collect them as soon as possible.

• Still need presentations, let us know what you would like to hear.

• 29 at the on air meeting saturday. Great discussion. Enjoyed seeing and hearing everyone who attended.

• Nothing to report on the Treasurer’s end.
• Need to get member database updated. Moving that to Secretary’s position.
• Renewals: Not too late to join. Go to website and print out the form and send to me.

• Spent the weekend getting the membership backend updated. Need to get a few other backend updates needed. Just need to meet with Phil and Trent to train them on updating membership

Lyrid meteor shower 15 per hour before dawn in the morning

• Space Weather. 86 days this year with 0 sun spots and none the last 16 days in a row.

• I found that Contest University has canceled their course for this year and have announced a FREE online class via Zoom. Would be good for those of you interested in contesting or as a brush up for Field Day to help our club score.

• Pay attention to weather tomorrow. Starting a Skywarn net.

Dick Zimmer (W5DZ): Plan is to get a weather net together with Connor Farrell (WG1GEM) as net control on 443.425 kd5dlw’s repeater. Trained Skywarn spotters gather data and that data will be sent to NWS in League City.

• Contest University is very well regarded and I would encourage you to attend.
• Also a lot of in person tech conferences are being moved online and at no cost.
