Ham License Exam Notice to Technicians
- Gentleman tested on 2024-06-22, but hadn’t received callsign on 2024-07-05
- Didn’t receive email from ARRL on how to pay FCC fees
- Watch email, especially spam folder!
- Notice to technicians:
- Test results are sent to ARRL the day of the test
- ARRL forwards to FCC the next business day
- FCC opens 10-day window asking for payment
- Application spends 10 days in limbo
- FCC sends Letter of Dismissal, in which case Lorna has to ask ARRL to resubmit info

- We meet at CEOC every Friday 09:50 to check the radios and solve the world’s problems
Robertson County ARES

- New Meeting Place: Franklin Volunteer Fire Department
- We meet 2nd Saturday of each month 09:30
- Ron Estes (KJ5EFO) will come speak about Skywarn next month
- Lorna Flansburg (KI5FIZ) is new EC!
Skywarn
- Looking for wet weather in the next week: up to 5 inches
- Shouldn’t be any severe weather, but if there is, we will have net on KD5DLW repeater
- Rpeater keeps opening… Why?
- Potential interference or another station
- Yaesu DCS tone retransmission?
- Time how long it is between “kerchunks” and let us know
- Use W5BCS repeater as backup
Show and Tell
- Kerry Miller (WD5ABC): Found some power supplies for alarm systems (2 A, 3 A, and 4 A)
- Neal Scogin (KC5SCD): Interested in putting together an interest group for digital modes, particularly DMR
- Talk to me after meeting if interested
- KG5LYE, KF5WGJ, K5DKB: Club needs to have some type of mechanism for organizing interest groups and facilitating communications

- Presenting to club on topic?
- Ray Meech (WA5IWB): Voyager had an outage for a while and was re-established
- Made contact with JPL amateur radio club
- Sent a QSL card and press packet with fly-by pictures
- Brenham does Radio in the Park and POTA activations on a monthly basis
