- 2022-04-23 Radio in the Park
  - Tanglewoord Park, Bryan, TX
  - bring your own equipment if you want
  - starts around 09:00 or 10:00
  - 2022-04-30 Backup date if weather isn’t good on the 23rd

Field Day

- 5 member committee:
- Brian Bachmann Park reserved
  - This may not be available for free in the future (probably $300–$400)
  - Keep other places in mind for next year
    - Phil Gates (N5ZKF): We’ve had people offer to host Field Day on their property
      - lack of public visibility could be a problem
      - Maybe church or parking lot?
      - can get exposure through visiting news outlets and elected officials
    - Rich Rychetsky (KI5QNR): do we need power?
      - no; just acreage and exposure
      - maybe use the Farmer’s Market in Downtown Bryan again?
      - St. Thomas Aquinas has some acreage up next to the bypass (needs to be mowed)
      - Scott & White Hospital has some green space as well
        
        connection to Kirk Gulde (in charge of IT, knows value of ham radio)
    - Dick Zimmer (W5DZ): survey the “radio landscape” before (to avoid noise)
- Raffle items have been purchased
  - Stoeger M3000 semi-automatic shotgun
  - $500 VISA gift card
  - Yaesu FT-70D HT handheld
  - NanoVNA antenna analyzer
  - Custom Knife from Richard Epting
- Raffle tickets just about ready
  - will be printed by next weekend
  - sell them to anyone and everyone (not just club members)
- Need volunteers to help with the Radios, esp. through the night
- Meal
  - Hoping to get briskets donated
  - Pot-luck sides and desserts
  - Water, tea, gatorade to drink
- Bring your own radio if you want; we’ll hook it up
  - Better if you’re familiar with the equipment
- VE test session Saturday afternoon
  - We had 11 or 12 people last year even despite COVID

Antenna Trailer

Not an emergency, but keep it in mind
Need a place to park the antenna trailer
- hasn’t been covered, but would be better if it was
Might need maintenance at some point in the near future
- Anyone have a sandblaster? workshop? lifter (if we need to remove the antenna)?
