- One of my customers needs an antenna tower taken down. Rohn 25, 40-45ish feet tall. Tower looks to be in really good shape. Mounted in concrete, possibly. very light surface rust at ground interface. Antenna and tower is free. Bonus if you come get it.. Gin pole that will come with the tower if you take it down. Good shape. The mounting bracket has some rust.

Information Exchange
Phil Gates (N5ZKF)
- I have been working on grounding my station. I’m mounting lightning arresstors on the ground rod. Some devices you use outdoors that need to be outdoors are not weatherized like they should be. Reading the documentation, the arrestors are not weatherized either. I need to find a way to keep moisture out.
Tom Talley (W5XTT): I have used those and I used a tire inner tube that I cut and secured over them to keep the water off of them. It has worked well so far.
Joe Napoli (KG5SDF)
- Sounds like there is a power supply hum on the repeater. Does anyone else hear it?
Tom Talley (W5XTT): I had an icom that was broad enough that it pulled in some of the tone which sounded similar to a power supply hum.
